Meetings are where decisions happen.
Most of what’s said is lost.

The trade-off today

Take notes manually and lose focus, or record everything and drown in transcripts after the fact. Cloud transcription tools raise privacy concerns, and none give you intelligence during the meeting.

Kairo Notes' approach

Stay fully present while AI works alongside you. Real-time suggestions surface the right questions, capture key facts, and connect context from every meeting you've ever had — all without your audio leaving the machine.

Built native.
Feels like home.

A true macOS citizen — not a web wrapper. Kairo Notes lives in your menu bar, respects your system theme, and stays out of the way until you need it.

The latency numbers from last week's deploy are concerning. We're seeing P99s spike to 800ms on the checkout flow.

Marcus Rivera
That tracks with what the on-call team reported. I think it's related to the new payment provider integration we shipped on Thursday.

We need to decide if we roll it back or push a hotfix. The team in Dublin is blocked on this for the EU launch timeline.

Marcus Rivera
I'd lean toward a targeted hotfix. Rolling back would mean losing the new retry logic we added, which actually improved success rates by 12%.

Sarah Chen
Fair point. Let's timebox the hotfix — if we can't get P99s under 400ms by end of day tomorrow, we roll back.
❓ Question
Has the Dublin team been notified about the potential delay to the EU launch timeline?
Confidence: 92% · 2:16
● Key Fact
Decision: Hotfix attempt with rollback deadline end of day tomorrow. Target: P99 < 400ms.
Confidence: 97% · 2:18
🔗 Connection
In your March 12 call with Platform team, Marcus mentioned the payment provider's API has a known cold-start issue that could explain the P99 spikes.
Confidence: 85% · Vault match
❓ Question
What's the rollback plan if the hotfix introduces regressions in the retry logic?
Confidence: 88% · 2:20

Virtual or in-person.
Kairo Notes handles both.

Choose your capture mode based on where the meeting is happening.

💻

Call Mode

For virtual meetings

🎤

Memo Mode

For in-person meetings

Common questions.

What data gets sent to the AI provider?

Only the text transcript is sent to your chosen AI provider for generating suggestions and summaries. Audio never leaves your Mac — transcription happens entirely on-device using Apple's Speech framework.

Does it work with Zoom, Teams, and Meet?

Yes. Call Mode captures system audio, so it works with any app that plays audio through your Mac — Zoom, Teams, Google Meet, Slack Huddles, Discord, and more. No bot joins your call.

Can I use it without an API key?

Yes. Install Ollama and run a local model for fully offline, free operation. Transcription always works without any API key. You only need a key if you want cloud-based AI suggestions.

What happens if I lose internet mid-meeting?

Transcription continues uninterrupted — it's on-device. AI suggestions will pause until connectivity returns, then resume automatically. Your transcript and audio are never lost.

Is there a subscription?

No. Kairo Notes is a one-time download. You bring your own AI provider API key (or use Ollama for free). There are no recurring fees, no usage limits imposed by us.

How does the Knowledge Vault work?

Every meeting transcript is saved locally in a folder you choose. When you start a new meeting, Kairo Notes searches your past notes for relevant context and surfaces connections in real time.

Does it support speaker identification?

Yes. Kairo Notes uses pause-based diarization to separate speakers. You can customize the silence threshold per meeting template and rename speakers during or after the meeting.

What macOS version do I need?

macOS 14.0 (Sonoma) or later. Kairo Notes is built with Swift 6 and SwiftUI, requiring the latest Apple frameworks for on-device speech recognition and system audio capture.
